Dallas Recalls Morin from Texas Stars

Texas Stars at Rockford IceHogs Today at 4:00 p.m.

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has recalled center Travis Morin from Texas.

Morin, 29, has earned at least one point in each of his first eight contests with Texas this season and leads the entire AHL with 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists). The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward was the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 20 for posting nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) in four games. The native of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota has appeared in three National Hockey League (NHL) contests, all as a member of the Dallas Stars during the 2010-11 season. Morin was Washington's ninth-round selection (263rd overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.

Texas will continue its 10-day road trip today with a 4:00 p.m. game against the Rockford IceHogs at BMO Harris Bank Center. The Stars will return home on Friday, November 8th for the beginning of Stars & Stripes Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Sport Clips, facing Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
